ABOUT THE SIEGFRIED CAMERATA

The Siegfried Camerata is an emerging new ensemble composed by former and current graduate music students based in Greenwich.

The Camerata's debut in January 2014 at Blackheath Halls, London, performing works by Mozart and Wagner, was highly praised by the local press. Since then the orchestra has performed in other renowned venues such as St James's Piccadilly, Blackheath Halls and St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Recent highlights of the orchestra's concert activity include a collaboration with the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe, where it worked on and performed the Beethoven's Piano Concertos. We look forward to next year's collaboration with the Society featuring Mozart Piano Concertos.

What makes this orchestra stand out is that everyone in the Camerata is a soloist, sharing the same enthusiasm and sense of commitment as good chamber music ensembles do, willing to work hard rehearsing together until a good result is achieved.

Future projects of the Siegfried Camerata include a performance in St Martin in the Fields this June in collaboration with the Iberian and Latin American Music Society as well as various educational projects including Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf and The Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns.

The Siegfried Camerata is available for hire. We can provide ensembles ranging from a duo to our full symphony orchestra. For more information please contact us HERE
